Checking Accounts

FREE Business Checking - The best checking account around for small businesses that don’t want to worry about excess fees and maintaining a minimum balance to avoid a monthly charge.  You’ll have access to 200 items per month, free Express Online Banking with Bill Pay and a convenient monthly e-statement

Small Business Checking – A great value and fits the majority of small businesses. It provides a generous 300 items* per month for a low monthly fee, which will be waived if you maintain a $3,000 minimum daily balance.

Business Checking Plus – For companies with a higher volume of monthly items,* yet offers a predictable fee amount. This account provides up to 750 items each month for a low monthly fee, which will be waived if you maintain either a $10,000 minimum daily balance or $30,000 in combined deposits and loans.

Commercial Checking – Customized for each business that has a large number of items* each month. Fees are charged on a per-item basis, but will be offset by credits earned with compensating balances in the account. Please ask us to evaluate your checking account activity to provide you with an estimate of services.

Business Interest Checking – Allows a sole proprietorship, a government entity or non-profit organization to earn TIERED INTEREST that automatically rewards higher balances with higher rates! As with Small Business Checking, you are allowed up to 300 items* per month, and the monthly fee is waived if you maintain a $3,000 minimum daily balance.

*An “item” is defined as any individual check written, a deposit and individual checks deposited, transfer of funds between accounts, online transaction, wire transfers, etc. Free Business Checking has 35 cents per item charged over 200 items.  There is a charge of 25 cents for each item exceeding the monthly maximum for all other F & M Bank Business checking accounts. Your F&M Bank representative can provide you with a complete list of per-item fees and credits.

Savings and Money Market Accounts

F&M Bank offers businesses a variety of savings and money market products to qualified account holders to allow earning competitive interest on balances:

Business Savings – Gives you the ability to earn interest on deposits and allows up to three withdrawals per quarter at no charge.

Business Choice Money Market – Rewards your business with higher interest rates for higher balances. This TIERED INTEREST account also provides you with immediate access to your funds. You may make up to six standard withdrawals – of which three may be by check – per statement cycle.
